I’ve been writing for a number of sites over the last 15 years, and a lot of that writing has focused on prospects and amateur players. I recently left a position I had in baseball writing for a number of reasons, some of which we’ll eventually get into here, but the majority of what you’ll find on this site is my views on the great game of baseball!
If you’ve never read any of my stuff or heard me on a podcast before, I’d love to find out how you ended up pulling up this site!
To give some background, I’ve been a lifelong baseball nut, though growing up in South Dakota meant a lot more of my viewing was on television than in person. That initially trained my eye in evaluating players on film, something that I’ve honed over the years.
I’ve worked in a host of careers since graduating from college, spending time in youth ministry, restaurant management, security, secretarial, bartender, social work (in multiple areas), automotive sales, and, currently, as a newspaper reporter and columnist.
This page will be an outlet to share columns that are about baseball that I write in my newspaper role, a weekly look at top minor league performers, some scouting reports, and other observations about America’s pastime.
